It's quite hard, but not crazy hard.It doesn't do anything particularly new or exciting, but it's a solid game to play for a few hours. Some reviews are complaining about the controls, I thought they were good once you got used to the quirks. Also the final boss battle is awesome!. Wow. For a ninja themed platforming game with simply controls and straightforward levels, this is one serious little game! The levels are well laid out and the idea is simple, anything red all over will definitely kill you. There are coins that you can collect, at your peril I dare say, that unlock certain game cheats or bonuses that only serve to make the game harder to be quite honest like, no continues for example. The music and sound effects are top notch in this game as well and lend a hand in creating the familiar NES feel of eight bit gaming. As I said earlier, the controls are super easy to use. Only two buttons are used in game with the d-pad/control stick and that too gives the game an NES feel since the NES only had two buttons on their gamepads anyway. All of this familiarity doesn't just stick out in the graphics/art/sound and controls either. The levels are no nonsense and straight to the point kind of like Ninja Gaiden or Castlevania. The bosses at the end of each level are also pretty well designed and definitely have been programmed like bosses from the great old days of NES too! The challenges of the game are pretty damn good and will have veterans of the platforming genre memorizing their layout and timing. All in all a great game and well worth the price of admission! Get this game if you like platforming a la Mega Man, Ninja Gaiden and others of the platforming genre! A must have for the low, low price!. Can't go wrong with tight controls, great level design and a Giant Face Boss! Give this game a shot if you're into platformers, it's well worth your time.GiantFaceBoss/10. Nothing has made me more mad but love it just as much with its poor grammer is so funny but the elements that make it feel like flappy bird. honeslty if you want a game that will make you rage and have a good laugh with its this game.. Game reviewed after beating both Old and New modes with every collectible:This is good game. Very good, in fact. Such is the infamy of gaming steam. You buy game, you play it, it is good. But what is good of it making? It is the columbination of Ninja Gaiden and Super Meat Boy. The perfecting controls of columbinating the heaviness and smoothness of both. The game I'm sorry I don't speak English I'm not sorry it all.Music is old times but also very pump. Perfect for man jumping action. It is slicing, but not so much, more jumping than slice. Not cheap placemenents of enemy.Life is infinite, the checking of points are often in sight. This game gets the Ninja Connoisseur's Stamp of Approval.. This game is easily one of the best platformers I have ever played.Fantastic level design, tight controls, increasing difficulty, and exciting boss fights are what makes this game great. If you like platformers and enjoy a good challenge, you will like this game. for sure.I am looking forward to the next games of this developer!. My sphincter clenched so much.If you like your sphincter to be very clenched, then boy oh boy is this game for you. After roughly 23K unbearably precise jumps and 230K gallons of boiling borscht avoided,my sphinter is currently lodged just under my throat. The music is real great. 10/10 will clench again. The graphical style is neat and original, reminiscent of some DOS games (I know it's going for NES style, but it kind of falls short in that avenue). The concept is not bad, it's obviously a parody/homage of Ninja Gaiden and there's nothing wrong with that. And it's tough being a developer, and you can't please everyone. I didn't like this game, but I always feel bad leaving bad reviews on indie games. Anyway, here are some facts and opinions:▬ PROS ▬- Decent DOS-y / NES-y graphics- Cool blood physics effects and stuff- Get double jump from the beginning (I love jumpin)- Wall climbing is always fun- Lots of checkpoints- No lives (they know the game is hard)- Collectibles are mostly well placed▬ CONS ▬- Rigid jumping physics make for annoying platforming- Unoriginal and Difficult to read enemy design- Wind- Walls are too clingy (often accidentally grab onto walls and get killed)- High contrast graphics hard on eyes after a while- Bosses are uninspired and not very fun- Wind- Spikes on pretty much every surface- No powerups (at least as far in as I played. If the game doesn't have anything but jumping within the first 20 minutes it's too dry for me)- No real original mechanics or well-adapted borrowed mechanics- Wall jumping is wonky and often leads to death- Poor enemy AI- etc etc etcI'm not sure what advice I'd give to the developers to improve the game without changing the vision of the game. I'm not sure if this is how the game is intended to be. These are some things I'd be interested in:- More enemies, but you have a weak projectile (shuriken)- Maybe some enemies have projectiles but you can deflect them?- Some kind of ground/air dash for mobility and attacking- Less stiff jumping (gradually slow as you reach jump apex, then slowly but exponentially increase fall speed. You know, how gravity works)- Make dying constantly not a huge element of the game (personal preference - repetition is not always fun)- Maybe an ability system like the lantern items from Ninja Gaiden- Maybe couch co-op mode with even more enemies?- Get rid of the wind (sorry, I've hated wind mechanics in platformers since Lost Levels)If you're reading this, Dev, keep making games! Don't ever get discouraged!
